About Me

Experience as an Orthopaedic Surgeon

I grew up in Perth and Canberra. I studied Medicine at the University of New South Wales. I completed my internship and junior medical resident training in Sydney before moving back to Western Australia for orthopaedic training, which I completed in 2000. I then completed 18 months of Post-Fellowship training in sports surgery, upper limb and knee surgery.

I commenced private practice in Bunbury in July 2001.

I perform arthroscopic and open surgery for shoulder and knee problems, as well as total hip arthroplasty. Over the years I have developed a particular interest in shoulder surgery. I regularly attend international shoulder workshops, meetings and live surgery. In 2005 I was one of the first surgeons to perform reverse total shoulder arthroplasty in WA. I am also experienced in orthopaedic trauma and participate in the on-call trauma roster at Bunbury Regional Hospital.

I prefer not to treat elective hand, foot or ankle problems.

Personal

I have a strong personal interest in sports, both as a spectator and a participant.  My wife works as a Sports Doctor in Bunbury.
